2013-2014 Honors Recital Application
Each department holds a number of department recitals throughout the school year. These recitals are designed to provide performance opportunities to students in each department and an opportunity for students to interact with and hear other students performing on the same instrument.
MacPhail Recital Sign-Up Form
Many teachers host recitals for the students in their studio once or twice each year. These recitals are a wonderful opportunity for students to perform with their peers in the same instrument area. It’s also a great chance to get to know some of the other students that study with your teacher. Check with your teacher for dates and times.
Adult Student Soirees
The Adult Student Soirees, which are held on the first Friday of the month at 7 p.m., are gatherings meant for adult students who want to share and enjoy music in a no-stress, no-pressure performance setting. The soirees are open to adult students of all instruments, ensembles and ability levels. These events are held on a first-respond, first-served RSVP basis and are limited to 10 performance acts. Performances can include solo or chamber ensembles music of any style or genre. This is NOT a public performance but performers are invited to bring guests. Seating is limited so no more than one or two guests. Contact Jon Iverson for more information.
MacPhail Summer Extravaplazas
The MacPhail Summer Extravaplazas is a free outdoor lunch hour concert series featuring students from ensembles, camps and individual lessons. Bring a picnic lunch while enjoying live music on MacPhail's front yard, also known as Target Plaza. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved indoors. Check back for Summer 2013 concert dates.
