Early Childhood Music: MacPhail’s Early Childhood Music classes provide an exciting and creative beginning to a lifelong journey of musical fun and learning. Classes are led by highly-qualified teachers trained in early childhood education and music. Children build school readiness skills as well as gain musical abilities that prepare them for future musical study. Our developmentally appropriate classes explore musical concepts through singing, dancing, playing, creative dramatics, visual arts, instrument exploration and more.
Classes: Group instruction offers opportunities for young beginners to interact and learn with children their own age, while introducing musical concepts to your child in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. A social setting can be the perfect way for many children this age to learn to love music.
Individual Lessons: Finding the right teacher and the right instrument can make all the difference in a young child learning to love music. We take the time to match the right teacher to your child’s unique learning style and musical preference so they not only get a solid musical foundation, but they’re motivated to learn and inspired to love music.
Suzuki Talent Education: The Suzuki approach to music is based on the belief that young children can learn to play music in the same way they easily learn their native language – through listening, repetition, encouragement and parent involvement. Children typically begin Suzuki lessons as early as 3 – 6 years. MacPhail prides itself on having a well-established Suzuki Talent Education Program, where you as a parent take an active role with your child in the education process by attending all lessons and groups, as well as practicing daily with your child at home.
Music Therapy: MacPhail’s board certified music therapists use music to accomplish non-musical goals and build physical, emotional, cognitive and social skills. Adaptive lessons are also available for individual and group lessons.
Summer Camps: Summer Camps are a great way for children eight and younger to explore music and start interacting with other children their own age in a fun and exciting environment. The day camps take your child on many musical adventures, from embarking on a musical journey around the world to celebrating summer with a Pop, Sizzle, Bang!
