De Prey, TimothyPiano
A teacher since 1981, Timothy De Prey has been a member of MacPhail’s piano faculty since 1997. Teaching students as young as 5 years old, Timothy is able to teach all ages and abilities. He uses traditional methods but supplements lessons with music that motivates each individual student. He believes in developing the whole musician/person.
His previous teaching experience includes The Music Staff, Hammond Organ Keyboard Center, and Home Studio. He has played in numerous faculty performances at MacPhail, and is an accompanist for the Minnesota Opera and the Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus.
He holds a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Music Therapy from University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, and a Master’s of Music in Piano Performance from University of Minnesota.
