Sandra Powers, Clarinet

Sandra Powers has been a member of the teaching Faculty at MacPhail Center for Music since 1993.  She received her Bachelor's Degree in clarinet performance from the Eastman School of Music, and Master of Music and Performer's Certificate Degree from Northwestern University.  Sandra played Principal Clarinet in the Minnesota Opera from 1989-2009. She currently does a wide variety of free-lancing, ranging from orchestral playing to the Moody Blues.  Sandra is a volunteer with Hospice and Regions Hospital.  When not immersed in music, Sandra travels the United States and Europe to rock climb.
