More than 2,000 students take individual lessons each semester at one of MacPhail’s sites on a wide variety of instruments.
Instruction is available on the following instruments (not all instruments are offered at our access sites):
Brass: French horn (DT only), trumpet/cornet, trombone, baritone/euphonium, tuba (DT only)
Composition (DT only): composition, theory and solfege
Guitar: acoustic guitar, electric guitar, classical guitar, electric bass (DT only)
Keyboard: classical piano, jazz piano, harpsichord (DT only)
Percussion: drum set, marimba, snare drum, timpani, vibraphone, and auxiliary percussion
String: violin (classical & folk), viola, cello, double bass (DT only), harp
Voice: classical, musical theater, jazz, pop
Woodwind: flute/piccolo, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, recorder (DT only), bassoon (DT only)
