Adult Chamber Music Camp: July 10-20

Interested in collaborating with other adult musicians and gaining new insights on your playing? Be a part of the popular Adult Chamber Music Camp. Receive coaching from a variety of MacPhail faculty members and have an opportunity to meet and socialize with musicians who have similar interests. Attend or perform in a master class led by well-known local professional musicians.

All camp attendees will be placed into two chamber ensembles, and each ensemble will receive 5 coachings throughout the course of the camp. Chamber groups can opt to perform in a final concert for family and friends followed by a reception.

Placement in either Adult Chamber Camp or the Introductory Chamber Music Camp is based on a placement audition.

Auditions can be submitted by video. Please record a piece of your choice and a scale of your choice. Professional grade equipment is not required for these recordings – a smartphone or tablet or computer should suffice with video functions or apps like voice recorder. Video recordings should be uploaded to Youtube as unlisted with a link to the URL emailed to swider.jeremy@macphail.org. Audio only recordings can be sent via email to swider.jeremy@macphail.org. Please send videos to Jeremy Swider no later than June 12.

Please note: We are planning to have this camp in-person. In order to ensure the safety of participants we may need to reduce the number of ensembles that students participate in to just one ensemble. If that happens, each ensemble will play multiple pieces during the camp.
