Crescendo for Piano & Strings – Summer Session
Crescendo, Italian for “growing,” encourages and promotes students’ growth at all stages of musical development. The program aims to develop well-rounded musicians, reward students’ progress and set benchmarks for the advancement of musical skills.
Crescendo for Piano and Strings, Summer Semester guides students through graded levels of repertoire, theory questions and technical work. Crescendo also encourages development of musicianship, motivates students by tracking and rewarding progress, develops performance skills, provides an opportunity outside of the private studio for professional feedback, and helps develop the student into a well-rounded musician.
Students must be enrolled in a minimum of three hours of private instruction during the summer semester to participate in the summer Crescendo program. Specific requirements for each level are detailed in the handbook.
Summer Crescendo Activities include: Crescendo labs/Performance Classes, Juries, and a Play-a-Thon.
