The Cypher: Celebrating Women in Hip-Hop – In Person

Register Now
The term “cypher” is used in Hip-Hop culture to reference freestyle, as artists freely express their creativity. “The Cypher” is a week-long camp that will explore the history of Hip-Hop music while providing a safe and supportive environment for young women and gender non-binary young adults to create and collaborate with their peers.
This camp will specifically introduce aspects of songwriting, singing, rapping/emceeing, spoken word and music production. Campers will have the opportunity to create, workshop their art, and share their creations at the week’s concluding Open Mic.
Financial aid is available to students. Please contact us to request an application.
