Have you just begun studying a new instrument or are you just returning to an instrument that you studied when you were a child? Even if you are a beginner you can discover the joys of playing chamber music. Join us for MacPhail's Introductory Chamber Music Camp for Adults where you will be placed in small ensembles of 3-5 players who are playing at a similar level. Learn the basics of playing in an ensemble and prepare yourself for a lifetime of music-making.
Participants in this camp are invited to attend both the master class and the performance of the Adult Chamber Music Camp the following week at no additional charge. Placement in either Introductory Chamber Camp or the Adult Chamber Music Camp is based on a placement audition for coordinator Jeremy Swider.
Registration is now closed for pianists/keyboard instruments, but we are extending the deadline for string and wind instruments for both camps through Saturday, June 15th, with the caveat that all applicants from this point on will have to fill out (either version) of the attached form and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org and complete a recorded placement audition of 1 piece of their choice and 1 major and 1 minor scale by June 15th as well.
Video recordings should be uploaded to youtube as unlisted with a link to the URL emailed to email@example.com
Audio only recordings can be sent via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Professional grade equipment is not required for these recordings - a smartphone or tablet or computer should suffice with video functions or apps like voice recorder.
Jeremy Swider is not available to answer questions from potential applicants from June 8-June 15th. If an applicant has any questions during this time period, please contact Melissa Falb at email@example.com
