Tired of always performing other people's compositions? Interested in composing but not sure how to get started? Work with the basic elements of musical composition such as melodic writing, harmonizing, accompaniment patterns and ostinatos to create one or two short pieces for the instruments of your choice. Basic music reading skills are necessary, but no composition experience is required. Bring your own manuscript paper.
