Music Therapy is an established health profession in which music is used to achieve non-musical goals. Therapy session can address physical, emotional, cognitive, communication and social needs of individuals. Through music therapy, clients strengthen and transfer abilities to other areas by achieving their own functional, non-musical goals. MacPhail’s Music Therapy program also provides adaptive lessons for individuals who have difficulty learning music in traditional ways due to physical, cognitive or emotional challenges. Adaptive music lessons are uniquely tailored to meet the needs of the student by a board-certified music therapist. Learn more about Music Therapy for Youth or for Adults.
