Road Scholar - Creative Arts in MPLS with Your Grandchild

For adults with child ages 9-12

Pack your curiosity, your creativity and your grandkid for this fun and fascinating foray into an artistic world in Minneapolis. Together, bring your brilliant ideas to life as you play drums, bake your own cookies, create a one-of-a-kind book and try your acting chops on stage. Plus, finish up your exciting week with a twilight voyage on the Mississippi River while the spectacular Minneapolis skyline rolls by.

Best of all, you'll ...
  • Take center stage as you learn acting techniques at the award-winning Guthrie Theater and attend a performance, too.
  • Print images on a printing press and bind your own book to take home at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts, and create a unique cookie recipe at Mill City Museum.
  • Experience the joy of making music together as you learn how to play an instrument and create a song from faculty at the MacPhail Center for Music.
