Antonello Hall, MacPhail Minneapolis Campus
MacPhail Center for Music will present a celebratory concert honoring the memory of Mr. James Ericksen with gratitude for the generous gift he gave MacPhail through his estate. . His deep love of music was nourished through 40 years of piano study at MacPhail. James’ gift reminds us that MacPhail teaching artists are this institution’s greatest asset—constantly and quietly inspiring students of all backgrounds and abilities, and impacting lives in so many meaningful ways. Thanks to his gift, each new school year will kick off with an inspiring message from a distinguished visiting James E. Ericksen Anacrusis Speaker, and each year, five faculty members will be selected to receive James E. Ericksen Professional Development Grants.
This performance will feature four hand piano music by Adams, Bach, Barber, Carnahan, Elgar, Schmitt and Vladigerov—performed by current faculty, past faculty, board members and students of MacPhail Center for Music. Performers include Pinar Basgoze, Margee Bracken, Antonia Daskalova, Timothy De Prey, Jeremy Hanson, Dan Jackson, Ora Itkin, Miryana Moteva, Susana Pinto, Sue Ruby, Victoria Ebel Sabo and Dan Sabo.
