The Honors Recitals are distinguished student recitals at MacPhail. The Junior Fall Honors Recital will be on Sunday, December 10, 2023 starting at 3:30pm.
MacPhail will be holding Honors Recital auditions in-person at the Minneapolis site. Students can, however, submit pre-recorded videos for their audition. The audition videos will be reviewed and evaluated by the judging panel as if the audition were being held in person. If selected for the recital, that video will be shown in place of an in-person performance. (Please note: there will be no option for students to pre-record audition videos for the Concerto & Aria Concert auditions.)
Students auditioning for an Honors Recital in-person should complete the application form by October 29.
Students auditioning for an Honors Recital through pre-recorded video should complete the online form found here by October 29.
Junior Honors Age Limits
Strings: age 12 & under
Piano: age 12 & under
Guitar: age 12 & under
Woodwinds/Brass/Percussion: age 14 & under
Voice: age 16 & under
