Nerea Berraondo is a native of Pamplona, Spain. She has performed numerous principal opera roles and has worked with many conductors and orchestras. Ms. Berraondo has won many international prizes and competitions for having “one of the most powerful and evocative voices of the current Spanish vocal landscape.”

Nerea has performed principal opera roles such as Lucio in Catone in Utica (Vivaldi) at Theatre des Champs Elysees in Paris; Malika in Lakmé at Teatro Municipal in Santiago de Chile; Romeo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi (Bellini); Contessa di Ceprano and Giovanna in Rigoletto at Baluarte in Pamplona.

Nerea is currently on faculty at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University and she co-directed the International Spanish Music Festival in Minnesota.
