Antonia Daskalova is a piano teacher with a gentle soul and upbeat personality. Her teaching style is a combination of experienced guidance, creativity, encouragement and high expectations. Lesson time covers technique, repertoire (elements of musicianship: phrasing, expression, quality of tone, and stylistic expectations from historical and artistic point of view), basic theory and some ear training. With about 15 years of teaching experience, she feels extremely comfortable teaching students all ages and levels: from absolute beginners to pre and college level professional pianists. Antonia’s professional approach is built on warmth and tactful sensitivity.
Antonia was born in Bulgaria. Her education includes DMA in Collaborative Piano, a MM in Piano Performance from University of Minn. and Bachelor’s degrees of both Piano Performance and Music Pedagogy from the State Music Academy and State University of Sofia in Bulgaria.
She is a certified Royal Conservatory of Music piano teacher, and is also an active adjudicator, chamber musician, accompanist and a voice coach in the Twin Cities area. Her performing career includes appearances in Germany, England, Spain, Bulgaria, USA and Canada.
