Dr. Ashley Ng is an active violinist and music teacher in the Twin Cities. A tenured section member of the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra and the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, Ashley has performed with ensembles in the greater Minnesota area and serves as concertmaster of the Minnetonka Symphony Orchestra. Ashley is a founding member of 10th Wave, a chamber collective focused on performing new music and whose inaugural series debuted in 2018. In addition to performing, Dr. Ng enjoys being a faculty member at Yinghua Academy Music Conservatory, Roseville Summer Orchestra Camp, and teaching private lessons in the Twin Cities.
Ashley attended The Boston Conservatory for her Bachelor’s degree and Boston University for her Master’s in Music. She was a member of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, directed by Benjamin Zander, and collaborated with the Boston University Arts Outreach Initiative performing at the BU Medical School. Her past music festival attendance includes: National Orchestral Institute, National Repertory Orchestra, and Madeline Island Music Camp, as an Advanced Quartet Program Fellow. In 2017 Ashley graduated with her Doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of Minnesota.
