Stephanie Kimmes

Music Therapist

Stephanie Kimmes joined the MacPhail Music Therapy department in 2012.

She has a passion for using music to help individuals meet their musical and non-musical goals. Stephanie provides client centered music therapy services and adaptive lessons to children and adults with a variety of diagnoses including developmental disabilities, Autism, ADHD, traumatic brain injury, depression, and anxiety. She has provided adaptive lessons for piano, guitar, flute, recorder, saxophone, clarinet, drum, and cello.

Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, Morris, majoring in Music Education (2003) and is a licensed K-12 Minnesota Music Educator. Stephanie earned her Master’s in Music Education/Music Therapy from the University of Kansas (2009). She became a board certified music therapist in 2006.

Favorite non-musical hobby: Yoga
