Wu, YueMusic Therapist
Yue Wu began teaching guitar (acoustic and electric), piano and voice in the MacPhail Music for Life and Music Therapy departments in 2016. She is an accomplished pianist, and teaching piano lessons since 2007. She worked at Music Institute in Fort Collins, Colorado, and taught piano, guitar, and recorder.
Yue is a generalist who specializes in Neurologic Music Therapy. She is passionate about enriching the lives of individuals by building therapeutic relationships through music. She looks forward to expanding her experience at MacPhail.
Yue has completed her music therapy internship at Park Nicollet Health Services where she worked with individuals with a variety of medical conditions and different cultural background. She started the “Neurologic Music Therapy and Falls Prevention” project at Park Nicollet and her in service presentation received great feedback.
She holds a Master’s of Music in Music Therapy from Colorado State University. Wu grew up in China. She obtained a Master’s degree in Music Theory as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Shandong Normal University.
