Sonomento, is an award-winning choral ensemble that provides an intensive, quality choral experience for those seeking the challenge and fulfillment of singing classical choral music. We perform major works following the ‘Westminster Choir Method’ of choral singing, encouraging singers to produce a full-voiced tone and to continually develop their individual singing voice. In 2015, Sonomento was awarded two silver medals at the International Brahms Choral Festival in Wernigerode, Germany.
Members possess a dedication to high performance standards, friendship and camaraderie with each other.
Sonomento will embark on a concert tour of Ireland, Wales, and England, featuring participation in the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. The group is seeking new singers and music lovers who might ‘ride-along’ with us for next July’s tour. The tour rehearsals being next March, 2018. Please contact Craig Fields for an audition or more information by January 15, 2018.
Sonomento Soiree Fundraisers
Sonomento is offering a series of private, in-home dinner or cocktail parties to raise money for 2018 British Isles Tour Scholarships. We are calling them “Sonomento Soirées”. The singers of Sonomento will provide LIVE quality vocal entertainment for the evening, wait staff, and clean-up crew. In return, hosts will invite friends and associates into their home for the Soirée and request that they contribute to the Scholarship Fund. We hope you will consider a hosting a Soiree! To inquire, please contact Director, Craig Fields. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
“I’ve wanted to find a challenging, fun choir ever since I graduated from college. Although it took me thirteen years, I am thrilled to have found Sonomento! The quality of instruction from Craig is helping me to sing better each term. The musicianship and enthusiasm of the rest of the group are outstanding!?
~Heather Ford, Mom, Career-Woman, and Sonomento soprano.
“I like singing with Sonomento because I feel the warmth, the care, the professionalism, and camaraderie of the choir. There is a spiritual component of singing that is so moving. I find it with Sonomento.”
