MNYO LogoMacPhail Northside Youth Orchestra (MNYO) is a full orchestra program open to students in grades 7-12 that rehearses on Saturday afternoons from 1-3 pm in north Minneapolis.

 

 

 

How do I join?

Grab your instrument and come to the audition on September 29, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. Come prepared to perform a scale and piece you enjoy for the teachers.

Students should have 1-year experience playing their instrument (private lessons or in a school program). Students should be entering grades 7 -12 during the 2018-19 academic year.

Students should play an instrument in one of the following musical families: brass, woodwinds, strings, or percussion. Regular MNYO rehearsals include instrument sectionals, bucket class and full orchestra rehearsal. Students in our ensemble range from mid-beginner to late-intermediate level. Students are welcome to join throughout the school year.

Location:
Auditions & Rehearsals take place at the Ascension Club Building, 1704 Dupont Ave N.

Cost:
$50 for the 2018-2019 school year; scholarships are available.
