School Age Student Stories-Sara

Sarah Goh, age 16, Violin Student

What do hockey, tennis and the violin have in common? Chanhassen tenth grader Sarah! Though sometimes she says it’s hard to juggle everything, studying music has taught her how to divide her time in a “smart way” so she is able to enjoy everything she loves to do. Sarah began her violin studies in the Suzuki Talent Education program at MacPhail when she was 3 years old, and thanks to receiving several performance scholarships at MacPhail, she is able to continue taking traditional lessons today. Sarah has learned through performance and athletics, sometimes you have to lead, sometimes you have to follow. This attitude has given Sarah a confidence in herself and a life skill she will take with her far beyond her high school years.
