Katie Condon has been with MacPhail since 2004, but has been teaching for more than 13 years. Besides being a piano instructor, Katie is also director of the School Partnerships program and has extensive experience teaching general music with an early childhood emphasis. She enjoys teaching students of all ages, and though she is classical trained, she incorporates a wide variety of genres into her teaching. Katie received a Fulbright Distinguished Teaching Award to study music education systems in Helsinki, Finland in spring 2014. Outside of MacPhail, Katie is the orchestral narrator for Friends of the Minnesota Orchestra Kinder Konzert Series, composes, performs and directs children’s musical theatre for the Summer Youth Theatre, and is house accompanist at the Salon Saloon. She has also served as silent film accompanist for the Minnesota Film Arts and performed at Landmark Center Concerts. Katie has a Bachelor of Arts in piano performance from the University of St. Thomas and a Master of Music from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
