Krystal Stark

Krystal Stark is an educator, musician, and conductor whose philosophy is creating life-long music makers. She is the artistic director of Calliope Women’s Chorus and teaches piano, violin, and voice privately to students of all ages, focusing on fostering a supportive learning environment through accommodating various learning styles. Krystal has a doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction and has worked to implement research-based curriculum focused on culturally-diverse music education. She is known for her warm, bubbly personality and engaging enthusiasm.

A native of Kansas City, Krystal received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music education from Wichita State University, and began her career teaching high school and middle school choir in southern Kansas. Following her master’s degree, Krystal and her spouse moved to Alabama to pursue and achieve her doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

Since moving to Minneapolis in 2017, Krystal has taught music in public schools, assisted in the development of music education curriculum for multiple school districts, taught early childhood music classes, and she continues to serve as Artistic Director for Calliope Women’s Chorus in the Twin Cities, and also teaches private music lessons in piano, violin, and voice to students of all ages.
