String Chamber Music and Orchestra Camp: August 5-9

Join us for String Chamber Music and Orchestra Camp, a comprehensive and intensive full-day string camp for middle school and high school students. This camp offers the complete string experience from orchestra, to quartets, to private lessons and more! Rehearse and perform in small ensembles with students of similar skill level. Play exciting music in string orchestra. Round out your experience with private lessons and theory classes. The camp will conclude with a final performance of all ensembles and the string orchestra on August 9.

We would like all students to submit a video audition so we can place you in a chamber group. On your video please include the student playing a repertoire selection of their choice and two scales of their choice. Videos may be recorded as one file or as two separate files. Please upload your recordings to Youtube as an “unlisted” video.

Once the video(s) are uploaded, the link(s) will need to submitted by completing the SCMO Student Information found here:

Additionally, a recommendation from a teacher or mentor is also required. Please take a moment to send this link to someone who knows the student well enough to give an accurate evaluation of the student’s skills and ability level.

The submission deadline for the SCMO Student Information Form (including the playing video) and the Recommendation Form is June 30, 2024.
