Course - Minneapolis - Fall 2025
Ukulele for Adult Beginners – FALL Semester
Small instrument, big fun—learn to play the ukulele!
This fun, accessible class is perfect for absolute beginners. You’ll learn how to hold, tune, and play the ukulele through strumming, picking melodies, and reading both standard notation and tablature.
Explore a wide variety of musical styles—from rock and folk to blues, jazz, and world music—while gaining both solo and ensemble experience. No prior music experience needed—just bring your uke and your curiosity!
Students should come to class with their own ukulele (C6 tuning; soprano, concert, or tenor; high-G or low-G). Options are available either through purchase or rental through vendors outside of MacPhail. Contact the instructor if you have questions.
