Wayzata Community Ed: MacPhail Strings – Spring Lessons
MacPhail Center for Music is excited to continue our longstanding partnership with Wayzata Community Ed! Violin lessons with instructor Lara Hicks will be held after school on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (and some Fridays — see calendar). Lessons take place at Gleason Elementary School or Greenwood Elementary School.
Lesson spots are limited; reserve your preferred day and time now!
What is the time commitment?
- 24 lessons from late October through mid-May. Lessons begin the week of October 21, 2025. A calendar will be provided.
- Students participate in a performance at MacPhail on March 8th and a performance at Central Middle School in May.
Do I need to have my own instrument?
Yes. You are also responsible for supplying your own music stand and purchasing your own music books.
Can I rent an instrument from Community Ed?
Community Ed has a limited supply of instruments. Call 763-745-5200 to check on availability and arrange an appointment to be fitted.
What is the cost?
Individual lessons: $1,320
