Join MacPhail Center for Music and YourClassical MPR for a vibrant, music-filled Happy Hour at MacPhail’s flagship Mill City location—the heart of the nation’s largest community music school. Enjoy an evening of community, creativity, and world-class music as you explore the building, connect with fellow music lovers, and take in a curated soundtrack from a YourClassical MPR DJ host.

The night culminates in a live performance by the renowned Havana Quartet, one MacPhail’s Project Amplify Artists-in-Residence, known for their contemporary approach, expressive artistry, and genre-blending sound.

Throughout the evening, Milly’s Wine Bar will offer appetizers for purchase along with a selection of free alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy as you move through the space.

About the Havana Quartet

The Havana Quartet, founded in 2017, blends classical mastery with the vibrant rhythms of Cuba and Latin America. Comprised of graduates of Havana’s University of the Arts, the ensemble has performed with leading Cuban orchestras, earned honors including the Cubadisco Award, and appeared at major festivals and venues across Cuba and the United States. Now based in Minneapolis–Saint Paul, they perform widely throughout Minnesota and, as Project Amplify Artists-in-Residence at MacPhail, bring their dynamic artistry to schools and communities through workshops, performances, and educational programs.
