Erin Grush joined the faculty in MacPhail—Austin in 2015, teaching flute and in the Sing, Play, Learn program. She has been teaching flute lessons privately since 1999. She has taught a wide variety of ages, but mostly middle school and high school students.
Erin believes anyone can find something of worth through music. She loves teaching a student who loves music and is very inquisitive. Her favorite thing about teaching is working with a student on something that seems so hard to them at the time, then they get it and they realize they can do hard things!
She is a member of the Silver Wind Flute Quartet in Rochester, Minnesota, and has also performed with the Utah State Orchestra and Wind Ensemble.
She holds a Bachelors of Music in Flute Performance from Utah State University.
