Piano

Lily Griffith has taught Suzuki piano and group instruction at MacPhail since 2016.

As an instructor of music, her goal is to engage students in such a way that they are motivated to work toward talent. Discipline in combination with enjoyable learning environments makes students and parents aware of the ability to learn and grow. Lily teaches young Suzuki piano students.

As a Suzuki piano student at MacPhail, Lily performed the first movement of Sonata K330 by Mozart ten times in recital. In sixth grade, she participated in a Mozart piano concerto competition and performed a section of the first movement of piano concerto K382 in D Major. In college, Lily was a member of the campus chamber choir, and performed a soprano solo both junior and senior years in Miserere Mei by Allegri. Her senior jury piece was a Brahms capriccio.

Lily is in the MacPhail Piano Class of 2011. She attended the College of Saint Benedict where she majored in Dietetics with a minor in Music (Piano Performance) with supplementary courses in Music Theory/Skills, Probability & Statistics and Dance.
