Piano Camp – Minneapolis: June 22-26
Unlock your musical potential at Piano Camp, a week-long immersive experience tailored for piano students ages 8-14 looking to refine their playing skills. This camp is ideal for late elementary and intermediate students.
Experience Requirements:
- At least 1 year of piano study.
- Students should be familiar with reading music on the grand staff.
Throughout the week, students will be grouped based on age and ability level, and will:
- Learn foundational techniques such as posture, hand position, and scales
- Explore music theory concepts, including rhythm, dynamics, and chord progressions.
- Play engaging pieces selected to match their skill level and personal interests.
- Participate in fun group activities like movement, rhythm games and ear training.
- Perform in a celebratory recital to showcase their progress at the end of the week.
MacPhail’s experienced instructors provide personalized guidance, ensuring each student develops at their own pace in a supportive and encouraging environment. Whether mastering the basics or tackling more challenging repertoire, every camper will gain confidence, skill, and a deeper appreciation for the piano.
