Katie Ekberg

Suzuki Early Childhood Education Instructor, Violin, Viola

Katie Ekberg, violin, viola, and Suzuki Early Childhood Education instructor, has been teaching since 2007, and began specializing in the Suzuki Method in 2010. After graduating with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Delaware, she continued her pedagogical education by pursuing Suzuki Teacher Training. She now has registered courses in Violin Books 1-6, Viola Books 1-4, and Suzuki Early Childhood Education Levels 1-3 from the American Suzuki Institute and the Greater Washington Suzuki Institute. She is an active member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas and has served on the board of the Suzuki Association of Minnesota.
Katie wholeheartedly believes in the ability and endless potential of our youngest students, and creates a joyful environment that focuses on nurturing the development of the whole child.
